Spotify’s newest personalised playlist feature launched recently: Concerts Near You.
Using the location data of listeners, Concerts Near You populates with tracks from artists who have live performances, concerts, festivals or gigs scheduled ‘near’ to listeners in the next few weeks or months.
It’s updated every Wednesday with 30 upcoming events and listeners are able to listen to your tracks, visit your artist profile, and purchase tickets to your event.
List live events on your Spotify artist profile
For your live events to be listed on your Spotify artist profile, they need to be listed as events on one of Spotify’s partnered ticketing platforms:
Bandsintown (includes virtual events)
FNAC (includes virtual events)
nugs.net (includes virtual events)
StageIt (includes virtual events)
Ticketmaster (includes virtual events)
Eplus (Japan only)
Your event must be listed on one of the above platforms and include the following details:
At least 1 artist name
Start time
Venue name
Event name
If those conditions are met, Spotify will list your live event on your artist profile and it will feature in the personalised Concerts Near You playlist for fans in the vicinity of the venue.
