If you have already recorded your own music or you have music that you own the legal rights to release for, then you are on your way! In order to use our services, you need to ensure you have all the rights and permissions for a song. When these files are submitted on online providers, they are carefully vetted, and if you don’t have the correct permissions, they won’t go live. It’s important to do everything the right and lawful way when you start using Identity Music’s services.

What you will need to start submitting:

  • music files in WAV format

  • metadata information such as genre and performers etc,

  • artwork with a minimum size of 3000 x 3000 pixels (square) at 300 dpi.

It is important to note that on some sites, such as iTunes/ Apple Music, no two projects can have the same cover art. You will need to ensure your artwork is unique for each release. The artwork has to coincide and match the metadata for the associated project.
